Book four is the 29th annual report, Oct. 1880, of the Boston Provident Association, the Central Office of the Bureau of Charity. This gives statistics on help for the poor and lists names of Officers, subscribers and donations.

Book eight is the "Annual Report of the Attorney General of the State of Maine, 1889." An interesting read on court cases in the counties of Maine. Gives names of defendants, the nature of their crime and their outcomes, fines, imprisonment, etc.

Book nine is the "Annual Report of the County Commissioners, Treasurer and other Officers of Sullivan County, N.H. for the Year Ending December 31, 1899." One of the most interesting sections in the booklet is names of persons who were supported at the County Farm. Many other names regarding other sections of the booklet.

Excerpt seven is "The Hard Case Of The Founder Of Old Hampton, Wrongs of Rev. Stephen Bachiler." These 15 pages are from "The Granite Monthly," Vol. XXIX, Sept. 1900, No. 3. This is an interesting account read by F.B. Sanborn of Concord, Mass., at the reunion of the Bachelder family, Seabrook, N.H., Aug. 9, 1900. It was a desire to make available to the people of the five towns originally founded by Rev. Stephen Bachiler,--Hampton, Hampton Falls, North Hampton, Seabrook and Kensington, all once included in his original colony,-- the facts of his life before his foes brought his name into scandal.

Excerpt ten is from "Town Papers, Vol. X," compiled and edited by Nathaniel Bouton, D.D., 1877. The excerpt from this book lists names of delegates and members, of the conventions, of the State of New Hampshire, who adopted the Federal Constitution in 1788, and revised the Constitution of N.H. in 1791-1792. Biographical sketches are also included.

Excerpt eleven is from "The Adjutant General's Report, New Hampshire," Vol. 2, 1866. There are two excerpts with this download. The first is a "Sketch of Surgeon A.J.H. Buzzell, a man who was assistant surgeon in the Third Regiment, and dedicated himself to the sick and wounded. The second is about the "Winchester Monument." This monument was erected and dedicated to some of New Hampshire's sons of the 14th regiment who died in battle, Sept. 19, 1864 in Virginia.
